The 2009 season sees DSR take a different approach to motor racing and the Race Star scholarship.

The team has switched focus from the Clio Cup Championship to compete in the Mini Challenge Championship. The switch provides the team with some great support, with Race Star actively being promoted on the Mini Challenge web site and the allowed use of in-car footage from race weekends will all help to promote Race Star.
On top of that the Race Star scholarship will be one of the Mini Challenge Championship sponsors for the 2009 season, meaning that every car in the championship will car the Race Star logo.

Race Star Scholarship
The Race Star Scholarship has seen a massive investment to make it more accessible and better value for money than any other scholarship in the country.
As part of the Race Star scholarship DSR are offering Race Star Training Days which take place a various circuits around the country throughout the year. Race Star training is used to prepare drivers for the Race Star Challenge - the chance to win a full season of motor racing, but can also be used by race drivers looking for some expert tuition, and also corporate days out with a difference. Double Six Race Team
The Double Six Racing Team has been bolstered this year and are looking to mount a serious title challenge in the Mini Challenge.

Class: Club Class

On Thursday 26th March 2009, the 2009 Race Star winner was announced. 21 year old student, Joey Powis, was the lucky recipient and takes control of the Club class number 6 car for the 2009 season.

Class: S Class

Phil House joins the racing side of DSR for 2009 after spending the last 3 years instructing on the Race Star Scholarship. Phil brings a wealth of experience after winning the VW Cup Championship twice and competing in the Clio Cup for two years.

The Race Star web site will feature video blogs with each of the drivers as well as in-car footage of Car No. 6 throughout the race season. News and updates are regularly posted on the Race Star web site which is the focal point for any news on Double Six Racing.
