The MINI Cooper Club Class Championship is an excellent first step on the racing ladder. Mainly entered by novice racers it offers the opportunity to start racing in fully prepared MINI Cooper race cars. Run on standard road tyres, with 130bhp the MINI Challenge ensures close racing and rewards driver skill.

Part of the Dunlop Great and British Festival and featured on Motors TV the coverage of the class is good and provides the drivers with a great platform to build upon.

In 2009 DSR took novice racer, Joey Powis, to within a whisker of the Championship, only ending with a first corner incident at last meeting of the season. Joey finished the season in 3rd position, and many race wins, fastest laps and pole positions.
