03 Jun 2008 RACE STAR - SPECIAL OFFER The World Series by Renault meeting is held at Silverstone on 7th/8th June and as part of our promotional activities at the circuit we are offering a 15% discount on the price of entering Round One of Race Star 2009. The great news is that we are making this offer available to everyone through the www.RaceStar.tv web site, even if you cannot make it to Silverstone. For the month of June the price to enter Round One will only be £255. If you have ever dreamed of being a Race Star this is the perfect opportunity for you. With a place on the 2009 Clio Cup grid up for grabs and expert race tuition provided it could be an opportunity too good to turn down. On top of that if you make it through Round One you will get a chance to sample life in the fast lane by attending Round two at Croft International Race Circuit. Croft is one of the circuits the Clio Cup visits, together with the British Touring Car Championship, and gives you the opportunity to be taught how to drive the circuit by professional Race Instructors. The fun and excitement doesn't stop there - in 2008 we introduced an Autotest as part of the Round Two assessments. This proved so successful that we are bringing it back for Race Star 2009. The semi-final will again consist of a karting event and fitness tests. Finalists will be selected based on driving ability from Round Two (50% of the mark), Karting (25% of the mark) and the fitness test (25% of the mark). In the final we will be back at Croft International Race Circuit for the one day shoot out. Timed laps, media interviews and an interview with Double Six Racing are all part of the process to find out who will be the winner of Race Star 2009 - it could be you! Rob Boston, the 2008 Race Star winner who was a complete novice race driver when he won the prize, removed his Novice plate during the Croft BTCC meeting at the weekend after completing 6 races in the Clio Cup. Rob has performed extremely well during the season so far achieving a best place of 5th at Rockingham and 6th at Croft - In 2009 this could be you.
